We were unable to enjoy the performance due to several factors. The first incident involved an overly intoxicated group of people allowed to attend the event on the main floor, continue to purchase alcohol beyond their limit. They blocked the views of several guests, including myself and a few others nearby. The second incident involves the constant entry of late guests, causing impaired view of the performances. They also allowed guests to enter the show, disrupting others well into the show making things difficult to enjoy. There has to be a cut off at some point so that we could all enjoy the show. The third incident involves the constant sound system issues and delays in the performances. There were so many pauses and interruptions throughout the show, it just became an unpleasant night out. I truly hope that this isn't the lasting impression the Music Hall leaves on the legacy of El Debarge and Dave Hollister. The facilities inability to provide a great customer experience can indeed effect future need for Artists to use their facilities to entertain fans.
The music hall, sound system was horrible. Couldn’t hear El or Hollister. That’s why my review is 3⭐️⭐️⭐️
The sound was awful 😢 just praying for him and his strength in God
Where do I begin first of all the sound system is terrible thank God that Dave Hollister Stopped his show and got the sound system right as for El debarge I'll have no idea what he was doing we could not hear him in the balcony area and I walked out after the second song a waste of my money and time
El makes my heart smile with his passionate flawless vocals and ability to make this fan feel like he’s singing just for me. Maestro DeBarge is a master pianist just as talented on the keyboard as he is using his voice as an instrument. One of the many highlights of the evening was his musical interlude with the saxophonist. By the end of the show he had us dancing in the aisle and surprisingly El danced right along with us. That’s LOVE! The opening performer Niko Noire was soulful and very talented. On the downside I’m not a fan of Dave Hollister's ‘ art’. Plus he was somehow allowed to blow cigar smoke on the audience in this non smoking venue. Finally, I love the Switch and DeBarge hits but wish El had performed more songs from his rich catalog of music. I love Joyful, Heart, Mind and Soul, Somebody Loves You…
The Music Hall is in bad condition. The couple who were seated next to us fail on the floor due to a broken chair. The bathroom was flooded. People were walking back and forth across the stage between performance. I would go see him again without the other performers and at another venue.
He's pretty much done. Shouldn't be touring 🤷🏻♂️
The sound system was poor. You couldn’t hear the performers. David Hollister left the stage twice until they fixed it. El Debarge seemed very uncomfortable with the venue and early on it impacted his performance. I left early because of it and so did many others. This was the worst concert I’ve ever attended and it was primarily the venue, not the performers.
Anointed Brother El Debarge delivered an incredible evening of song, dance and pure joy as he performed many of the beautiful songs that launched him into stardom. He can still hit the high notes. He looked and sounded great and showed great love for his fans by getting down and mingling with the audience. Love him even more now that I’ve seen him live and pray that he’ll continue to bless us with his music. I truly wish he’d do a show for fans of his entire catalog and not just the hits. One downside of the evening, no reflection on El , was the opening performer Dave Hollister. He polluted the air with his stinking cigar and polluted the atmosphere with stinky trash themed lyrics. He was a poor pairing with El’s classic romantic lyrics. My only criticism of Brother El is please stop doing The Roof chant encouraging the audience to curse. Other than that , El showed the love in excellence in his performance and I send Love right back.
